2'nd round nominee:
Leann Joy

By Iliana Yanakova

Introduction:

Dear ladies and gentlemen, I’m glad that you could all make it to this meeting. I’m particularly happy to see you here, Patricia. I know that you’ve been dealing with some tough emotional issues since you killed Nicole Smith.

In a moment, I will present the nominee for the second round. I know that you were all much against killing anyone on our last meeting, but I want to consider your responses today carefully. If nobody wants to try their hands on this second nominee, I will be forced to abort the experiment. This will mean that my research project goes down the drain, which also means that Nicole Smith will have died for nothing. Well, it’s up to you. Let’s get started.

The selection:

Our passive members have nominated Leann Joy with 47% of the votes. This is not a majority, and not near the staggering 72% by which Nicole Smith was nominated, but please consider that we have five ladies in this poll, whereas we had only three in the first one. Leann Joy received twice as many votes as the closest runner-up, so again it was quite a decisive choice. Leann is 41 years of age and lives in New York. Before we continue, I will allow you a bit of time to examine the pictures that we took of her, when she auditioned at one of the modelling agencies owned by my husband.

According to the photographer, she is mature, very self-confident and has a very positive outlook on life. She is originally from Los Angeles, but after divorcing her husband, she has moved to New York to try and see what opportunities she may find on the east coast. She works as a secretary, but is convinced that it is only a temporary position, as she has a degree in law and wants to pursue a career as lawyer.

Again, I had one of our police connections run a check on her, and her husband has reported her missing. Apparently she doesn’t want any contact with him at all. When she left, she also left her two teenage daughters in her husbands care, and she has apparently made no attempts to contact them either. As far as I could find out, none of her old friends in Los Angeles are in contact with her. She is apparently determined to make a fresh start in New York. This also means that if she remains missing, it will be simply be a continuation of the status quo and should not cause any additional grief to her friends or family.

As I mentioned, she has been selected as our second round nominee. This means that one of you – who will also be selected by our passive members – will be offered the opportunity to kill her. Before the passive members are allowed to vote, I would like each one of you to describe your immediate feelings regarding this woman, and indicate whether you think you have it in you to kill her or not.

Jack Silver:

“Oh my God, she is beautiful. She also sounds like an interesting lady. I mean, it must take a lot of spunk to leave everything behind and start a whole new life like that. I would really love to meet her.

Patricia, I know that I supported your view on our last meeting that we should all refuse to kill. I know you’ve been strongly affected by the emotions triggered by you murdering Nicole, and I think that we were all very emotional at that meeting. However, in the meanwhile I have done a lot of soul-searching. I fully recognise the validity of your feelings, Patricia, but I also feel that I need make my own choices – and maybe even mistakes – in life.

If I pass this opportunity up, I will spend the rest of my life wondering what I missed out on. I know that you may be right, Patricia, and that if I do kill another human being, I will spend the rest of my life blaming myself for what I have done. It’s a very difficult choice, but I think I could deal with those emotions. So, yea, if I get the opportunity, I’ll do it. I’ll take it as a learning experience and make sure I make the most of it, and then I guess I just have to deal with the emotional fallout along the way.”

Patricia Brown

“Jack, I can’t believe that you are even considering this! You seem like a fairly intelligent and reasonable man, and I really like you a lot. I can’t believe you’re backing down from our agreement to end the experiment. I’m deeply disappointed in you. I know that I’ll never kill again and I stand by that. I hope George and Sarah will do the same.”

George Hamilton

“Damn, Patricia, lighten the fuck up, will you? I don’t think it’s fair that you get all the pleasure from snuffing a sexy young slut, and then get up on your high horse and deny us the same experience. I’m totally with Jack here. That Leann is a fine piece of pussy, and though she’s a bit older than the chicks I usually go for, I would just love to get with her. Big time! If that means I’ll have to kill her afterwards, I’ll take that as an experience too. I’m sure I won’t loose any sleep over it. I mean, I never fuck the same girl twice, so when I’m done with her, it won’t make a lick of a difference to me whether she’s alive or dead.”

Sarah Grayson

“I also think that Leann is very beautiful, but she’s also old enough to be my mother. It would just be too weird, you know? So I think I’m with Patricia on this one. I could never hurt Leann.”

Conclusions:

I’m happy to see that we don’t have to end the experiment just yet. I fully recognise the concerns of Patricia and Sarah, but we must continue the experiment. Please also note that you may still change your opinions. If you are selected by our passive members, to get the opportunity to kill Leann, you may still accept or reject it, in spite of what you’ve said here today. It is fully up to you. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen. I will get back to you, as soon as our passive members have made their choice.
