Jack Silver – Personal Evaluation

By Iliana Yanakova

Own citation:

“I have always been both fascinated and frightened by asphyxiation. I guess it comes with the territory of being a professional diver. I have often wondered what it feels like to slowly suffocate. What happens as you feel your lungs run out of air, what happens when you feel your life slip away? And what would it feel like to watch a sexy, young female, as she realises that she is going to die – and actually dies?”

Evaluation:

Jack Silver is a loner. He lives in an isolated cottage on the east coast of Florida, where he works odd jobs as diving instructor or industrial diver for shipyards and construction companies. As such, he is unattached and exhibits mildly anti-social behaviour. He also has an unhealthy interest in death and fantasises about asphyxiating young females.

Identified Traits:
  • Strong curiosity about death, particularly asphyxiation
  • Lives in physical isolation
  • Addicted to painkillers as a result of previous professional injury
  • Mildly sexually compulsive
Expected Motivators:
  • Primary: Curiosity
  • Secondary: Intimacy
  • Tertiary: Sex
